Movie Blog 13

Hey Movie Goers!

So I watched "In the Valley of Elah" the other day. Again, another HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I was a little off my facts though before. It wasn't about a kidnapping, it was about a murder. It keeps your interest and Tommy Lee Jones doesn't let you down as usual. Charlize Theron was also a nice addition to this movie and her character worked very well with Jones'. This movie was another reminder to me that Jones is a great actor and i can't wait to see "No Country for Old Men" which i still haven't seen.

I don't think I will make it to the movies tonight. Oh well.

Just a reminder, if you have any comments or reviews of any movies, posted or not, write in a comment or email me at Jpdude378@aol.com and i'll post em.

Thanks for stoppin by and come back soon for more posts!

Movie Blog 12

Hello Everyone!

I just finished watching "Breach". HIGHLY RECOMMENDED It was a great movie. Based on the true story of the worst spy in American history, Robert Hanssen. Chris Cooper, who plays Hanssen, plays opposite Ryan Phillipe who is the undercover agent to bring down Hanssen. Both were great and both added a lot to the movie. The movie was quick and to the point. It didn't drag on with useless information and always kept you interested. It took place 2 months before the actual take down so they didn't bore the audience with long drawn out scenes. lol

Hopefully I'll get to watch "In the Valley of Alah" this afternoon. Ill letcha know. lol

Thanks for stoppin' by and check back soon!

Hello All!

So I haven't written for a while. So got's some catchin' up to do. lol

First things first. The academy awards. I was mostly wrong with my predictions. lol but not too shocked at the winners. Although i was shocked about two things. One; why the hell "Transformers" didn't win anything especially for sound, and two; why "The 300" wasn't even nominated for anything. But besides that, things went good i thought in the decisions made.

This past week I finally got to see some movies with my beloved Steph. lol We saw "Vantage Point". I thought this movie was AWESOME! I really did. If you saw it and didn't like it though i could possibly see why. I thought how they produced it was brilliant. it was very different from your usual "assassination-attempt-on-a-president-action" movie. It was good to see that there are people out there willing to make new original movies. lol HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Also, tonight I watched "The Simpson's Movie" for the first time. Not what i expected. Not too impressed. I think i got my hopes up and thought it would of been funnier than it actually was (which i often do lol). I mean it was funny but not just what i expected it to be. i guess you could say i expected more. But i sat through it, so it couldn't of been too bad. lol

I also rented from the Red Box "Breach" and "In the Valley of Elah". Both are supposed to be good. I don't know much around "Breach" yet lol but i think "In the Valley of Elah", Tommy Lee Jones' kid is kidnapped and he sets out to find him. Seems pretty good from what i see in the trailer. I'm a huge fan of Tommy Lee Jones too so that helps. lol I hopefully will get to watch one of them tonight and one tomorrow. We'll see how that works out. By the way, for those who don't know, The Red Box is simply amazing! Rent new releases for only $1. $1 per night. It's really a sweet deal. They're at your local Shaws or Stop&Shop and, for example, if you get a dvd at the Stop&Shop in Watertown you can totally return it at the Shaws on lexington st if you want. Any Red Box. lol Now here's the cool thing. You can go online to www.redbox.com and sign up. You can look up available dvds at each place and see whats in. then put in your info. and you can pick up your dvd later on. it like saves it for you. Plus when you first sign up, they give you a free rental! Its worth it, i think. lol

But anywho, I haven't been to Hollywood Video lately so i don't know what type of sales are going on there. I'll have to check that out soon though. lol Me and Steph hopefully are goin to be able to make it to the movies again this tuesday night! She wants to see "The Other Boelyn Girl". I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for stoppin' in, check back soon for more!
